The giant orbs that make up each Bubble Candelabra seem perilously close to melting. Their latent liquidness, the velvety viscosity of glass, has been perfectly captured by their maker, Nienke Sikkema. Each candelabra is built from slumped bulbs of solid glass, cut directly from the rod whilst molten. They are carefully, skillfully, stacked in a unique hand-made process that Sikkema has painstakingly perfected. The result is an arrestingly informal glass arrangement that is original every time. The Bubble Candelabra is the ultimate centerpiece, leaving nothing at the door: It is uncompromising in size and undeniable in heft. Its thick, gently opaque glass is satisfyingly cool and temptingly tactile.
