Gemma Holt

A Blackpool native, Gemma Holt graduated from both Manchester Metropolitan University and the Royal College of Art in London to eventually work in Martino Gamper’s internationally renowned studio. Simple and pure in their form, Holt’s works often have a conceptually rigorous thinking behind them - her Gemma storage box, which appears to be a solid block of wood at first, is in fact a typical trompe l’oeil.
